because He is great...

...my worries are few.  A relationship with God should be a worry free life.  I would be lying to all of you if I sat here and said I don't worry, but the reality is there should be a lack of worry in our lives as we grow in Christ.  The Word of God is not "grey" when it speaks on the idea of God being in control.  In fact, it's pretty direct with this whole idea of God's sovereignty.  So why is it so hard for us to not worry.

It's because it's so hard to let go of control.  When we're in control we think we can take care of the situation and we can somehow influence the end result.  We've got so much to learn.  We have little, if any, influence on the outcome...unless you're talking about Legos.  But if you're getting ulcers because of little colorful blocks, then this blog can't help you.  We want so much to be our own boss that we lose sight of the One steering the ship.

What do you worry about?  More than likely they're things outside of your control.

Without going into much detail, my life has been filled with opportunities to worry over the past few months.  And there were many times I did worry, but God has remained faithful in spite of my lack of trust.  It's not like I could take control of the situation in order to have a jovial outcome.  God provides for His children and God brings healing to those who hurt.  God cares for those He loves and comforts those who seek peace.  Transparently, God puts the pieces back together for those whom have been broken.

I praise God for being great.  I praise God for being the one has the perfect agenda.  I'm tired of trying to live by my own.  Live worry free, and I'll live with you.
